Quick start
Experiencing a dental emergency?
If you are experiencing an emergency, the fastest way to get started is to call, email, or make an appointment.
Otherwise, if you are simply curious about the process and want to know what to expect, keep reading!
New clients join our practice in several ways
Our philosophy of care is to help you achieve the highest level of dental health you desire. Different clients have different desires.
Some want to relieve sensitivity in one specific area
In this case, we will set you up with a 15-minute 'specific exam', where your dentist will look at only the area of concern. Since your objective is to get a diagnosis for a specific issue, your doctor will not examine the rest of your teeth and gums.
Once you have a diagnosis, we will offer you an appointment to perform whatever treatment you choose. Click this link to read about the specific exam.
Some want a complete exam and a report of all findings
In this case, your objective is to get a full understanding of what is happening with your teeth, gums and smile. Your complete oral exam is about 60 minutes.
At the end of the appointment, the doctor will take you on a “Tour of Your Mouth”, sharing any concerns they found, what the consequences may be if not treatment is done, and how treatment would benefit each problem, including what treatment options exist for each diagnosis. Looking for a dental hygiene appointment?
When you book a complete oral exam, you can also book a hygiene appointment on the same day. Please let us know if you would like to book both.
Some are looking for a first visit for their child
The Ontario Dental Association recommends first dental check-ups within 6 months of kids getting their first tooth (and at the latest around their first birthday). Click this link to read about the first happy visit.
